    Description

Gelatin free hydrocolloid paste sterilized by radiation. It forms gel upon absorbing wound exudates, providing a moist wound environment and supporting granulation and epithelialization.

    Benefit

    • Healing in moist environment: interacts with wound exudate to form a moist wound environment.
    • Painless and atraumatic removal: Due to its fatty, yet non-greasy, nature, together with the gel formation property upon exudates
contact, the hydrocolloid paste allows the atraumatic removal of the dressing without damaging newly formed tissue.
    • Absorbent: Due to the fact that Cavicoll® contains a high percentage of superabsorbent polymer, the paste aids in the absorption of
excessive exudate and extend the life of the secondary dressing, increasing the wear time and decreasing dressing change rate.
    • Aids autolytic debridement.
    • Helps increase ostomy system wear time and protects the skin.

    Indications
    • Cavicoll® is intended to be used in association with a secondary dressing such as Protectfilm® for the management of exuding dermal ulcers, including full-thickness wounds, such as leg ulcers, pressure ulcers and diabetic ulcers.
Cavicoll® also can be used to seal ostomy bags where paste fills deeper cavities and folds, creating a tight seal between the base plate and the skin.
